Subsistence Foods Study Monitoring Report 2014-2015

Best management practices (BMPs) were established to balance oil and gas development with the protection of surface resources, including subsistence use resources. As part of BMP, ConocoPhillips conducted studies to identify the level of potential contaminants in subsistence foods prior to proposed development. ERM, Alaska implemented a monitoring study of potential contaminants associated with the proposed development. This report presents two years of data on the concentrations of select contaminants of potential concern found in raw tissues of subsistence-use species commonly harvested by residents of the village of Nuiqsut.
