Onshore/Nearshore: ABR ONES Desktop Studies 2014-2015 Final Reports

Shell Exploration & Production Company (Shell) initiated the Onshore/Nearshore Environmental Studies (ONES) program starting in 2010 to address environmental issues associated with the development of onshore infrastructure needed for transporting oil and gas from offshore prospects in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS). The overall goal of the ONES program was to develop comprehensive and rigorous scientific baseline datasets in support of offshore oil and gas development. ABR addressed four major subject areas for the ONES program: (1) vegetation, habitat and remote sensing (hereafter collectively referred to as habitat); (2) birds; (3) mammals; and (4) fish.
