Kaktovik, Barter Island Meteorological Data Assessment (2013 - 2019)

This report summarizes and documents an assessment of meteorology data key findings associated with the Kaktovik Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS III P) station (PABA), from the Kaktovik Barter Island Airport. The main goal was to evaluate a 6 year Kaktovik dataset (from calendar year 2013 to calendar year 2019), obtained from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) website via DS3505 - Surface Data Hourly Global format, for completeness and quality. This data was compiled and general statistics were calculated by month, calendar quarter, year, and for the entire dataset.

The data files are embedded in this document as excel spreadsheets and will be downloaded with the pdf.
