Alaska Outer Continental Shelf Wells

Surface Locations of Boreholes drilled for exploration or oil and gas production. Dataset is maintained by Bureau of Ocean Energy Management. Please note: older well locations were mapped on a NAD27 grid and have been projected to NAD 83 for inclusion in this file. When plotted on the current NAD 83 grid, they will not appear to "line up", because the NAD 83 grid represents a complete re-grid, and not a re-projection of the old NAD 27 grid. All current wells have been plotted on a NAD 83 grid.
