Impacts of Seismic Trails, Camp Trails and Ice Roads on Tundra Vegetation in the Northeast NPR-A

The results demonstrate how vegetation type and trail type influence the level of impacts, and how recovery progresses over time. The study will compare impacts to the tundra and tundra vegetation recovery to sites elsewhere on the North Slope. Soils (active layer) and vegetation measurements.

Measured active layer at 61 plots, 1999-2005 (every 3 years), and 46 of those were monitored through 2011.
