2018 GMT1 Spring Breakup and Summer Monitoring Hydrological Assessment CPAI:Research Reports

This report provides Greater Moose's Tooth 1 (GMT1) hydrological assessments as required per U.S. Army Corps and includes culvert monitoring.

Spring breakup is generally considered the largest annual flooding event in this region of the North Slope of Alaska. Preliminary hydrologic and hydraulic assessments of the Tinmiaqsiugvik (formerly Ublutuoch) River were conducted by URS in 2001-2002. Michael Baker has conducted breakup monitoring and hydrologic assessments throughout the GMT1 area annually from 2003-2006 and 2009-2014.
