Arctic LTER Lakes

Data for physical and chemical characteristics are collected for several lakes each summer.

Initial limnological work at the Arctic LTER began at Toolik Lake in 1975. Through the years the research has expanded to include over two dozen additional lakes and ponds in an effort to better understand the controls on arctic lake ecosystem structure and function.
